Red Deer

After leaving Caroline, we set off to visit our friends, Chuck, Reann, and their two kids in Red Deer.  We were so happy to see them again.  We arrived to the smell of freshly baked chicken pot pies. Yum!  We spent our time catching up, playing some great games, walking to the ice cream store, going to the water spray park with the kids and picking berries.  Also while we were there, a friend from my Bible School days, Pam, came and visited with us.  We had a great time catching up together.

We were also blessed to be able to be part of the first city wide worship service in Red Deer.  Chuck was on piano and Reann was one of the singers.  It was a wonderful time of worship and honor to our gracious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!  Praise the Lord for He is good!

I guess that I should mention that Hannah stayed back with her Grandma at Living Faith and they got to spent some one on one time together for a few days.  Hannah had a great time and was thoroughly spoiled!  They came back on sunday morning in time for the service.

We then were able to go to Western Days for the afternoon.  Caleb got me on the high swings with him, Malaya and Mercy.  Then Malaya and Mercy enjoyed going on a fast spinning ride that swirled them upside down.  Judah went on the ferris wheel with Caleb and Chuck.  I think that one got the better of Chuck by the end!

We were able to catch a short look at the motorcycle stunt act and also catch some of the chuck wagon races.  The kids liked that and joined the other kids in catching prizes that were being thrown!  They came back with a bag of gum, t-shirts and a baseball cap!   It was an exciting end to our time in Red Deer.
